Get Ready to Run!

Michigan Go Run starts tomorrow, Friday, May 30!  Are you ready?

The updated Agenda is located here and important logistical information is below.

Location and Housing

Michigan Go Run will be at the Radisson Hotel, 111 N. Grand Avenue, Lansing, MI 48933.  All of the programs and the participant hotel rooms are at the Radisson Hotel.

If you have not confirmed your hotel needs with a conversation or email exchange with Shannon, then we do not have a room reserved for you.  If you need a hotel room, call Shannon ASAP (616-403-9290).  We have secured rooms at the Radisson for those who need them – you do not need to call the Radisson to reserve a room.

The Radisson Hotel is located in downtown Lansing, one block east of the State Capitol.  Driving directions can be mapped from the Radisson’s website at or the Hotel Recommended Detour Map.

Please note: Grand Avenue is currently under construction – a detour map to the front entrance of the Radisson Hotel is attached.  Please allow extra time to follow any detours through downtown Lansing.

Parking

Complimentary valet parking is available for all Michigan Go Run participants,, regardless of whether or not you are staying overnight at the hotel.  Please pull into the front entrance of the Radisson Hotel, tell the valet that you are there for Michigan Go Run, and they will park your car in a secured parking lot for free.

Dress Code

Michigan Go Run will be an intensive weekend inside conference rooms.  Please dress comfortably.  The Friday evening session is business casual; Saturday and Sunday are weekend casual.  (Jeans are acceptable for all days.)  Anticipate that the meeting spaces may either be too cool or too warm for your preference and pack accordingly.

Agenda

An updated Agenda is available here.  Please note that the program will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30.  The Friday dinner buffet will open at 6:15 p.m., and the program will run until 9:30 p.m.  On Saturday, May 31, we will be in session from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.  Sunday, June 1, will run from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  You are expected to attend all sessions and be there for the entire time – if you have a conflict, please contact Shannon.

Complete Registration and Payment

If you have not already paid for your registration, please bring your credit card or a check made payable to "The White House Project" to the training on Friday. 

Meals

All meals, snacks and beverages will be provided at Michigan Go Run.  If you have special dietary needs or allergies that you did not indicate on your application, please contact Shannon ASAP.

Go Run is a weekend long training dedicated to equipping you, the future candidate, with the skills to run and win. The training aims to demystify the political process and inspire a richly diverse group of women in to the leadership pipeline. Go Run provides the nuts and bolts of running for political office by focusing on areas like communications, fundraising, and campaigning - skills you can use in your work and in your community up to the day you decide to run!.

We make this training affordable for women from all income levels.
The cost is $150 and scholarships are available.
